BASIC Program:  Here is the basic programme, but  we can also change programme depending on the weather and the group. Overnights basics in a tens, but if there is room in the cabins, sometimes we can also use them. But you must be flexible, be repared to wet  and rainy days.

Additional package: You can book the accommodations before and after the trip by yourself 

OR you can buy the whole package from us ( from pick up from airport/busstation in Kuusamo 

and all accommodations and then back to airport/busstation.

DAY 1

Starting place > Taivalköngäs. We will pick you up and then tranfer by car to the starting point. The first thing that we see is the most beautiful place in the park : OULANKA CANYON, be sure that you have your camera with you! We will hike then to Taivalköngäs, where will be camping beside  Taivalköngäs-rapids.

Distance about 9 km, duration about 4 - 5 hours.

DAY 2

Taivalköngäs > Kiutaköngas;  We will start the todays hiking  and cross few suspension bridges and trek to the Kiutaköngäs Nature centre. There we will have lunch in our Safaricafe SUSI, you can buy souvenirs or ice-cream =). And we will fill our bags with food. We will spent the night near the Kiutaköngäs waterfall in the tent/ cabin. 

Also possible to have a sauna! 

Distance about 9 km, duration about 3 - 4 hours. 

DAY 3

Kiutaköngäs > Jussinkämppä; We continue the Beartrail first along the shore of the beautiful Oulanka-river. Then heading towards Jussinkämppä camping area. Overnight in tents. 

Distance about 16 km, duration about 5 hours.

            >>> Also possible to spend this day paddling the canoe  

DAY 4

Jussinkämppä > Juuma; We will cross the woods to the Kitkajoki-river and then we 

will join the Little Beartrail-track and see the biggest fall of Jyrävä. We will follow the river and see more of the rafting fiver (... maybe you like to try it after the hike) We 

will stay overnight in Juuma.

Distance about 16 km, duration about 5 hours

DAY 5

Juuma > Konttainen Last day of our trekking. We can visit the Porontima canyon or go strait to Kumpuvaara to see very nice views. We will end our trekking to Konttainen hill, where we have a car waiting for us.

Distance about 18 km, duration about 6 hours

               >>> Also possible to spend one day more and end the trip to Ruka

Including also tents, cookers and food. Own sleepingbags (we can also hire them)

- We will make 2-3 person teams, who will have one trangia-cooker, tent and food. 

   If you like to take own tent or own food, please let us know.

- About 70 km to walk with the back pack. So you must carry by yourself back pack with sleeping bag, own things and your share of tent/trangis/food.
